A Purpose Driven Life We are about to finish our journey through A Purpose Driven Life. during these last 10 months, a faithful few have stayed the course. We have discussed and shared our feelings not only about Rick Warren's book, but also our thoughts and feelings about this idea of God's purpose. I will admit that I have not always agreed with Mr. Warren's theology, but I have agreed with his point and that is God has a purpose for us. Mr. Warren reminds us that is all starts with God. The first sentence of the book says it all... 'IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU!!!' He calls us to remember that when we serve God, God smiles. He goes on to say 'The smile of God is the goal of your life'. Mr. Warren affirms what I have always believed that when we serve God in a sense it is worship and that worship is not just coming to church on Sunday. It is important to understand that we all have a purpose and that we are to work our whole life to not only find that purpose, but seek to fulfill it. On October 21, I will begin a series of sermons that will focus on A Purpose Driven Life. I hope that they will be meaningful and will spark within us the desire to know and fulfill our purpose not only in the church but in our world.
